Dog Dedication

Yesterday was a red letter day in American Olympic history. In other words, our day went really well. Tyler Hamilton won the gold for the men's road individual time trial. When interviewed after the race, he said that he'd like to dedicate the medal to his dog that passed away while he was competing in the Tour de France. He said that the dog was his best friend! I thought that was really cool! So now we have the very first olympic dog dedication that I know about. In other Olympic news: The U.S. took gold for the women's 4x200m swimming relay. Not only did the women take the gold, they broke a 17 year long stadning world record. Paul Hamm took the gold for the men's individual gymnastics competition. After recovering from a near fall into the judges pit on the vault, he came all the way back from 12th place to take the gold! It was quite an impressive sight too, I might add.

Got this in an e-mail yesterday. I'm not sure exactly where it came from, but I thought I'd share:

A lady found the fawn under her step (they think the doe might have been hit by a car)...the lady's Ridgeback dog is helping look after it.

Right now the fawn is being bottle fed. The dog (Hogan) has basically taken over. The fawn even shares his bed.

Not much else going on today. Everybody have a good one! TAH!
