Happy Thanksgiving!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Well, it has begun. The yearly travel season is on us, and everyone is hustling and bustling to get dinner in the works. I can't believe it's time for Thanksgiving already. Even though I've had a difficult fall, I still have LOTS to be thankful for this year:

1. My wonderful husband

2. My wonderful mother

3. The health and happiness of the two above.

4. My pets

5. My terrific friends

6. My health

7. My home

8. A great job that I truly love

9. My freedom

10. The fact that there are those willing to fight for my freedom.

11. I'm so thankful that God has granted me so many blessings.

There are many others, and the list could go on and on.

One of the things that I'm most thankful for today is that one of my longtime, bestest friends ever, Jennifer, had her 2nd cochlear implant activated yesterday. Not only can she hear, but she is hearing things well this time! Now, I'm going to smile all day!!

I'll leave you all with the words of one of my favorite hymns:

Count Your Blessings

Verse 1

When upon life's billows You are tempest tossed,

When you are discouraged Thinking all is lost,

Count your many blessings Name them one by one,

And it will surprise you What the Lord hath done.

Chorus:

Count your blessings Name them one by one.

Count your blessings See what God hath done.

Count your blessings Name them one by one.

Count your many blessings See what God hath done.

Verse 2

Are you ever burdened With a load of care,

Does the cross seem heavy You are called to bear.

Count your many blessings Every doubt will fly,

And you will be singing As the days go by.

Verse 3

When you look at others With their lands and gold,

Think that Christ has promised You His wealth untold.

Count your many blessings Money cannot buy,

Your reward in heaven Nor your home on high.

Verse 4

So amid the conflict Whether great or small,

Do not be discouraged God is over all.

Count your many blessings Angels will attend,

Help and comfort give you To your journey's end.
