RIP Trixie

It is with great sadness that I'm posting today. Trixie (the spare dog)has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. We couldn't find her on Tuesday night, when it was time for her to come in. We looked all day Wednesday and yesterday. We found her underneath our house (a favorite hidey hole of hers). It appears that she just passed away in her sleep. Trixie was almost 17. We will all miss her terribily, but we know that she has some awesome company at the Rainbow Bridge. Goodbye sweet Trixie, we'll miss you!

Curse You, Stomach Bug

The past 48 hours certainly have been interesting at our house. On Tuesday, Casey started to feel really sick. By Wednesday morning, I think he was praying for death. Yes, he's caught that REALLY nasty stomach bug that's going around. I have to say, this is the sickest I've seen him in a really long time! He hasn't been able to keep anything down, since Wednesday morning. I stayed home with him yesterday, in case I needed to take him to have some fluids. I called the doc, and they prescribed him some anti-nausea meds. He finally started to calm down, late last night. Needless to say, neither of us have had very much sleep, and that makes me an extremely unattractive personality right now. I do think that we both rested better last night. Casey was fast asleep, when I left this morning, so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I sure hope he feel much better today. I'm also hoping that the bug stays away from me!! We'll see...
